I have always been interested in anything do do with exponential growth because the power is unimaginable. Take the Chinese chessboard problem where one grain of rice is placed on the first square, two on the next, four on the next, eight on the next and so on, doubling up each time. How much rice do you think would be on the final 56th square? The answer is so much that you'd need rice fields covering twice the surface area of the Earth, oceans included.
In a similar way, gravity is an example of exponential growth. It is by far the weakest (known) force in the universe. Yet it has one thing up it's sleeve, exponential and consistent growth. Gravity shapes our universe and everything submits to it because the more matter than bonds, the stronger it's pull on other matter.
Your brain is a universe and your thoughts are gravity.
