Apple Beam is a small team of professional producers all specialising in different musical genres.
We aim to make quality music production available to everyone and deliver great value for money. We are not here to make a fast buck, we want to create great music, build relationships and develop new talent.
Apple beam consists of four studios in Wembley, Wembley Park, Bayswater and Denmark (for online productions).
Our studio producers create music for signed artists as well as welcoming newcomers. Our recording standards are very high and this is reflected is our recording studio audio samples. We make no compromises on sound quality using an array of the latest in digital and analogue recording technology.
Our facilities include modern, fully equipped studios equipped to record everything from programmed hip hop through to live bands and percussion acts.
We feel our 'unique selling point' is that we can take a very basic vocal idea from any singer and transform it into a fully produced, professional song. We would encourage you to hear the stunning transformations in our 'before and after' section.
With so many musicians and singers coming in and out of our studio, we try and keep track of any success stories and post them on our recent success page.
How it started
Apple Beam Studios was started after two musicians, Darren aka GHOST and Tom J joined forces to write and produce songs for signed artists in 2004. This turned into a studio business and developed into what it is today.
In late 2006, Tom had to move back to his homeland, Denmark, but continues to produce with us over there and does a great job for our over seas and online clients.
Darren continues with Apple Beam Studios as well as writing for major music publishers in the UK. His songwriting and production talents have lead to him working with platinum selling artists and producers.
Apple Beam now has four producers who all have impressive residential studios and one commercial studio. We have avoided commercial studios as we are able to charge almost half the price by keeping our studio set ups small but powerful! Renting commercial premises just doesn't make sense for our needs although we have one for larger projects.
The sound quality is not affected either as our studios are digital. Many high profile artists are realising and accepting what producers have known for years, that the sounds you use and the experience and skill of the engineer is what counts - Neptunes recording Britney in a hotel room on a laptop is the latest insight into how records can be made today!
Here is why you don't need to pay through the nose for an outstanding recording.
A lot of studio time is wasted due to bad preparation and lack of direction prior to recording. My advice to singers and songwriters is to put your time and money where it counts and not on experimenting.
It is not our aim to get the most money from a client, rather gain the trust and loyalty so that Apple Beam becomes the studio of choice.
When using the online production facility (which means the client is not in the studio) we would pay great attention to making sure we deliver exactly what you want at each step so that you're 100% confident and happy with the progress of your song.
It is also advisable to songwriters to consider coming to us for a very quick 4 hour session to 'test' an idea. We can have a pretty good finished track in 4 hours which would help an artist decide if it is a hit song or not before spending any more money! The artist can then play it to people of importance asking weather the song justifies longer in the studio.
For both singers and songwriters, we would also encourage the vocals to be done on a separate day to the music (although this is not always necessary). The reason is that with fresh instrumentation and production, your ear may need time to adjust and become familiar with the new sounds.
By taking the new production home and practicing to it, the vocal performance will be stronger and more confident .. which saves the client more time and can produce better results.
